Hi,
In the wake of a severe cancer drug shortage, patients and healthcare providers alike are scrambling. This crisis affects a wide range of treatments.
An FDA Oncologist addressed the causes, acknowledging that the FDA's powers are limited until there are changes in the law. Shouldn't our government have the ability to stockpile life-or-death medications or require companies to produce them in emergencies? Relying solely on foreign companies, susceptible to supply chain issues or profitability concerns, seems like gambling.
Meanwhile, it's uplifting to see research demonstrating the potential of low doses of CBD as an effective sleep aid, on par with melatonin. I wish hospitals were stocking up on CBD right now which seems to has cancer-fighting properties.
Three big manufacturers of 'Forever Chemicals,' or PFAS have agreed to pay a $1.9B settlement over public water lawsuits. The thought of these corporations potentially inducing diseases like cancer and then just settling their guilt with a hefty check is deeply troubling. So to summarize, chemical companies give people cancer, drug companies don’t make enough meds, and the government doesn’t want to allow cannabis or CBD to be used in hospitals though it might fight tumors. It’s pretty ridiculous but I have faith things will change. :)

Thanks and I hope you have a wondrous week,
