Hi,
California is getting serious with its fines on illicit businesses, coming after a manufacturer for $128M. The state calculated that as $81K in fees for each of the 527 days of production. That's twice the company’s revenue. Ouch.
California Governor Newsom passed a bill that will force vape battery companies to take back any disposable vape batteries as consumers can’t dispose of them in the trash. We may see similar legislation throughout the country.
We have included some videos and articles about illicit grows and the connection to human trafficking. It's complicated, as victims aren't always being held against their will. Instead they are exploited or tricked with false promises. Given that they are often illegal immigrants, fearful of repercussions from the authorities and their bosses, there is a lot of conflicting information.
